A slippery floor is a potential disaster for unaware pedestrians.  Safety cones, floor signs, and barricades are widely used in all types of establishments to warn pedestrians of slipping and falling.  Most establishments dutifully mop up wet floor areas even though mopping alone does not sufficiently dry an area where there is continual foot traffic bringing in rain or snow from the outdoors, or where a spill has occurred.

Marking the boundaries of the wet floor area with safety cones or other types of barricades serves to warn pedestrians, but does not aid in alleviating the hazard.  For this reason the HURRICONE™ Cordless Floor Drying Cone Dolly was developed.

The HURRICONE™ aids in drying the floor with a continuous flow of air in 360 degrees and up to 15 feet in diameter.  While drying the floor, the HURRICONE™ also warns pedestrians of a potential slip hazard using standard 36 inch floor cones.

The Hurricone is a “why didn’t someone think of this before” product. Specifically, it’s a floor-drying fan built into a wheeled, portable base as a substitute for those wet-floor warning cones. It was created to prevent slip-and-fall accidents and lawsuits. It dries mopped floors in less than five minutes, decreasing drying time by 90 percent.

The unit blows air out 15 feet in all directions. It’s cordless, and can run 12 hours after an 8- to 10-hour charge on a removable battery pack, designed so you can replace it with a fully charged battery without taking the machine out of commission. The manufacturer claims the battery will last up to 11 years if run 12 hours a day.

The Hurricone weighs about 20 pounds but is easily maneuverable on lockable casters, unlike lightweight signs or cones alone, which always seem to get knocked over.

The base is also sold separately and can be used with most standard cones as well as the Hurricone. An optional blinking light to top the cone is available.
The Hurricone blows air outward 360 degrees away from the unit, quickly drying 177 square feet of floor area.
